Executive members
The County Council's Constitution sets out how the Council operates. The council is committed to open government. The Executive, consisting of the Leader and eight other Councillors, makes most decisions, but decisions about the budget and major policy framework are made by the full Council.
Leader of the Council, with responsibility for budget and external organisations;
Deputy Leader of the Council, and Executive Member for schools,16-19 year old education, early years provision and youth service;
Executive Member for rural services, waste disposal, public passenger transport, trading standards and economic development;
Executive Member for corporate services, finance, performance management, and procurement;
Lead Executive Member for (Children's Act 2004) children's services, special educational needs, and youth justice;
